GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Version dated 19 September 2026
1. Scope and contracting party
These General Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed through the online shop at https://shop-volteva.de.
Your contracting party is:
Volteva GmbH
Eiffestraße 600
20537 Hamburg
Germany
Email: info@volteva.de
Telephone: +49 1514 4209608
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction primarily for purposes that are outside their trade, business or profession. A business customer is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity acting in the course of its trade, business or profession.
2. Products and conclusion of the contract
The presentation of products in the online shop is not a legally binding offer but an invitation to place an order.
You may place products in the shopping cart and review or amend your entries before submitting the order. By activating the final order button, which clearly indicates that payment is required, you submit a binding offer to purchase the goods in the shopping cart.
The automatic order receipt only confirms that we have received your order. A contract is concluded when we expressly accept the order, dispatch the goods or collect payment, whichever occurs first. If we do not accept your offer within five days, you are no longer bound by it. Any payment already made will be refunded without undue delay.
3. Contract language and storage
The contract language is German. This English translation is provided for convenience. In the event of inconsistencies, the German version prevails unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
We send you the order details and these Terms and Conditions in a durable text format after your order. Where a customer account is used, order details may additionally be viewed there.
4. Prices and shipping costs
All prices shown in the shop are total prices in euros and include statutory VAT. Any additional shipping costs are shown on the shipping information page and during checkout before the order is submitted.
5. Payment
The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout before the order is completed. Payments may be processed by the relevant payment service provider. The provider's supplementary terms apply only where they have been validly incorporated and are reasonable. You will not be charged fees for an offered payment method that exceed the costs incurred by us for its use.
6. Delivery
We deliver to addresses in Germany and to those EU Member States that can be selected as a delivery country at checkout. Unless a different period is stated on the relevant product page, delivery takes three to five business days within Germany and five to ten business days to the other offered EU Member States from conclusion of the contract or, where advance payment is agreed, from receipt of payment.
If individual products are dispatched separately, we may make reasonable partial deliveries at no additional shipping cost.
If delivery cannot be completed for reasons for which you are responsible despite reasonable delivery attempts, we may charge the reasonable additional costs actually incurred. This does not apply where you are not responsible for the failed delivery.
7. Retention of title
Goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.
8. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have the statutory right of withdrawal described in our separate Withdrawal Instructions. Any additional voluntary return option does not restrict the statutory right of withdrawal or statutory rights relating to defective goods.
9. Statutory rights for defective goods
Statutory rights relating to defective goods apply. Please inspect the goods after delivery and notify us of apparent transport damage as soon as reasonably possible. Failure to notify us does not affect your statutory rights.
A product guarantee applies only where it is expressly stated for the relevant product. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Installation and intended use
Work on mains voltage and permanently connected electrical installations must only be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician in compliance with the rules applicable at the place of installation. Product information, installation instructions, technical limits and safety instructions must be observed.
This provision does not restrict statutory rights relating to a defect that already existed when the risk passed to the customer.
11. Liability
Our liability is unlimited in cases of intent or gross negligence, injury to life, limb or health, liability under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee expressly given.
Where we negligently breach a material contractual obligation whose performance is essential for proper performance of the contract and on which you may normally rely, our liability is limited to the foreseeable loss typical for the contract. Liability for other loss caused by ordinary negligence is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
12. Applicable law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country in which they habitually reside.
13. Jurisdiction for business customers
Where the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, Hamburg is the exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from this contractual relationship. Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
14. Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
